Investment house in Mt.Washington (Pittsburgh)
Place a bid
This is an investment property located in the Mt. Washington area of the City of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I do not live in the city anymore and cannot show the inside of the property. It is being sold As-Is with no warranties or guaranties about the property's condition. The house is assessed by the county at $50,000, but could certainly sell for much more than that when fixed up, or could be rented out for a monthly income. The property tax right now is $229.81, which has been paid for 2008. The house has a nice large porch, a nice area in front to plant flowers or bushes. It also has a fireplace and a big window in the living room. The kitchen does not have appliances and the cabinets will need to be replaced. There is a bathroom on the first floor off of the dining area also. The upstairs has a fairly decent size bathroom that could be remodled or simply touched up. There are two bedrooms with red and green carpet that are pretty equal in size, then a very small bedroom with blue carpet that could be used as a den or nursery. The two larger rooms both have closets, the smaller one does not. There are stairs that lead to the attic that looks to have been converted to an additional bedroom. It has another window and bookshelves that the picture doesn't show. I could only put 12 pictures up. The water, gas, and electricity have been off for a while, so I cannot say what kind of condition they are in. The carpet will need to be replaced, especially downstairs. It is light tan and stained in some areas. The wood paneling could stay, but should probably be replaced as well to add value. I did not notice any broken windows, although the screen door to the front of the house is missing some glass and should be replaced. The yard in the back has gotten pretty out of control since that picture was taken. I haven't gotten the chance to get it cleaned up and that old storage shed could be removed for additional yard space. The basement is unfinished. There is a drop down ceiling in the kitchen area with some of the tiles missing, so that will need fixed. I haven't noticed any water damage or anything in the attic, so I assume the roof is fine, but I cannot guarantee this. All in all, it's a great property located in a very nice neighborhood and could be an investment property to rent/sell or with some work it could be a home for you. The winning bidder will be responsible for the deed transfer fees plus the sales tax. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions. |
